In The Beginning

The Tucson valley lies to the south of town. Technically, the entire town of Oro Valley lies within the Canada del Oro Valley – which has been Anglicized to its current name.

Oro Valley is home to a number of schools. Two different high schools serve the area, while there are also several middle schools and quite a few elementary schools. The Amphitheater Public Schools of Tucson is the organization responsible for administrating these schools.

Jobs in Oro Valley are quite diverse. Manufacturing makes up a considerable percentage of jobs here, as does the education sector. The government is also a significant source of employment in the city.

The weather in Oro Valley tends to be dry, sunny and warm. However, the nights can be quite cool, as is common with desert areas. The area does not see quite the same high temperatures as some other parts of the state do, though.
